The Presentation

When meeting with a client, preparation is key. You need a clear strategy to ensure the conversation is productive and focused. We recommend going through this exercise before every client meeting:

  1. What is my goal for this meeting?
    • Define a clear objective (e.g., closing the sale, addressing objections, or narrowing down options).
  2. What does my client want?
    • Understand their primary goals, motivations, and preferences.
  3. What objections might the client raise based on previous conversations?
    • Identify potential objections ahead of time (e.g., budget concerns, location preferences, investment risks).
  4. What are my responses to these objections?
    • Prepare thoughtful, confident answers to overcome obstacles and build trust.

This preparation framework ensures you’ll be more effective during the presentation, providing personalized solutions and increasing the likelihood of success.

Appointment Management:

  • Set Clear Expectations:
    • Choose a meeting time that works for both you and the client.
    • Avoid coming off as too busy or rushed—it’s important the client feels valued.
  • Stick to Appointments:
    • Cancelling or showing up late is much worse than politely declining a time that doesn’t fit your schedule.
    • Always keep your word when it comes to site visits or meetings.
  • Adapt Communication Styles:
    • Each client has their preferred communication method—whether it’s calls, texts, or voice messages.
    • Monitor how your client responds best and adjust your approach accordingly.
  • Confirm Appointments:
    • Always send a confirmation before meetings and use the client’s preferred communication channel to avoid misunderstandings.

Being reliable, prepared, and client-focused will set you apart and build trust, which is essential for closing sales effectively.
